Ryan grew up in Florida and moved out to Seattle about five years ago to follow a job. He didn't know what Seattle had in store but instantly fell in love with it. He loves this city, but also loves to travel, and last year had the privilege of going to Budapest, Italy, Ireland, Kenya and Tanzania. In at least one of those countries he pet a cheetah and made out with a giraffe.
If you've ever been to a Seah
awks game, there is a good chance you've taken a picture with Ryan. His "hobby" job is to run around as the mascot of the Seahawks. As the mascot, he has been able to do everything from leap off the roof of Qwest Field to be a groomsman dressed as a giant blue bird!
As far as sports, Ryan mainly sticks to snowboarding in the winter and wakeboarding in the summer. Always looking for something fun in the sun, he can often be found out on Lake Washington any time that boating friends offer the chance. Outside of that, Ryan cheers on his alma mater, the Florida Gators, with a local chapter of the alumni club, as well as plays the piano, and enjoys a relaxing night of watching a movie or a delicious cocktail out on the town.
Mystery Date No. 1: Up Close and Personal with the Seahawks
We'll start with an afternoon cocktail at Elysian Fields, then head to the Seahawks game. (It will be the opener, 7 p.m. on Aug. 22.) I'll be dressed as Blitz, but we'll have plenty of fun running around on the field and backstage during the game. You'll have the best seat in the house, watching most of the game from the sideline.
