What's New? "Networking 101 for the 21st Century, aka How Not to Come Across as an Idiot" (mirrored here for China), blog post by Howard Wu, CEO/Founder of BEAN. (September 1, 2010)
Bachelorette No. 6, Jessica Cox

Runners

Jessica, 27, hails from Ritzville, Washington. She graduated from Western Washington, where she studied business administration with a focus in MIS and economics, and she’s now pursuing an MBA at Seattle University.

She has been called random and vibrant. She prefers: quirky car singer extraordinaire. She has always had issues staying on the same page and coloring in the lines, and she’s constantly curious. She thinks laughter is the best gift – the ability to laugh at ourselves and share it with others. Jessica snorts when she laughs, and then she laughs harder when her friends laugh at her.

She’ll try anything once and can’t stay focused on anything long enough to become an expert. She loves singing in the car, especially when listening to old Mariah Carey on her way out to a local winery. Her hobbies include snowboarding, kickboxing, golf, football, piano, shopping, reading (especially books like “If”), cooking and puzzles. She has a love/hate relationship with running.

Jessica’s stupid human trick: She can recite the alphabet backwards, even after a few beverages. She understands the need for feet but wonders why they have to be so odd-looking and a tad gross. She also cringes at excess body hair and thinks long hair should be restricted to women.

“I have a profound interest in people -- what motivates someone’s behavior, whether its getting up in the morning or preferring a style of music.”

Jessica's Date: Look Out, Tiger
Nothing like a day on the links! We'll start off with a round of golf at Newcastle Golf Course, if you're up for it. You may get some private lessons on the driving range. Then it's back to the clubhouse for dinner at the Calcutta Grill.
