What's New? "Networking 101 for the 21st Century, aka How Not to Come Across as an Idiot" (mirrored here for China), blog post by Howard Wu, CEO/Founder of BEAN. (September 1, 2010)
Bachelorette No. 4, Hillary Iveans

Runners

Hillary was born in Huntington Beach, Calif., but grew up in Lynnwood. She’s 23 and a licensed insurance agent for Snapp & Son Insurance in Queen Anne. This is her second gig in the insurance business – she sold yacht insurance in Ballard for a year and a half.

She can quote “10 Things I Hate About You” and “Scream” by heart, and she makes the best artichoke dip – in the Iveans family, it’s Killer Dip. If you’re going to buy her a drink, it should be a Red Bull and vodka, but don’t even think about a seafood dinner.

Her talents are many: She played cello for six years, and her all-female team came in second at the GoTime Flip Cup Tournament in April.

Her worst-ever fashion mistake was thinking that she could trim her own bangs. She votes Jen over Angelina (though she thinks Angelina is the most beautiful woman on the planet). Her biggest pet peeve is people who don’t use their turn signals.

She grew up riding horses and spending her weekends as a “barn brat.” She was the Northwest Regional Champion in her division for two years and won many championships in five years of showing. “I know how to pick almost every winning horse at Emerald Downs. My father raised me right!”

Hillary's Date: Floating Restaurant
We won't be dining on the waterfront. We'll be dining on the water. I'll be hosting dinner on an 42-foot yacht.
