Audra, at 29, has lived in the Northwest her whole life. She grew up in Issaquah, went to school on Mercer Island and ultimately graduated from the University of Washington in 2002. Despite being a native to Seattle, Audra
doesn’t own a single piece of fleece or gortex and firmly believes that cocktail attire is required for the opera and ballet.
Her family calls her Toad or Toady. Let’s just say she was a late bloomer and leave it at that! She is hopelessly clumsy but thankfully she thinks her so-called faults are some of her best characteristics. She thinks perfection is boring and highly overrated and revels in the quirks. She harbors secret ambitions to be an amazing photographer but is also realistic to know that she has zero skills.
She’s the ultimate tomboy wrapped in a girly girl exterior. She can change your flat tire but is likely to do it wearing red satin stilettos! She constantly indulges her curiosity for new activities and hobbies but the things that really excite her are salsa dancing, volunteering, wine and food, beaches, live music, booty shakin’ and mischief makin’. Her latest ambition? Learning to fire hoop before her 30th birthday. Granted, her adventures sometimes lead to disaster, but they ALWAYS lead to fun!
Hiking and kayaking are Audra’s top favorite outdoor activities. She recently started rock climbing again after almost a 10-year hiatus and is only slightly dismayed at how bad she is. Her favorite summer evenings are spent watching the sunset from the bluffs or beach at Discovery Park with some good wine and better company.
“I have a warped sense of humor with a big sarcastic streak. As the youngest of four kids, you better believe I can tease and banter with the best of them. But this tough exterior is deceiving because underneath it all I’m softer and gooier than a marshmallow peep.”
tch the sun setting over the San Juan Islands where the colors light up the sky before darkness falls and the lights of Seattle flicker on. Take advantage of the amazing view to take some pictures … or if you’re brave enough, the pilot will let you take control and try your hand at flying! We’ll cap the evening with a leisurely late night dinner at one of my favorite restaurants (Palisades or Serafina). Rest assured, the view will be sure to please!
