Description:
OPERATION: Sack Lunch is the largest meal provider in the State of Washington. They are the last line of defense for those in our community living directly on the streets. For many it is the only place to find a decent meal. They are the in-house provider for the Compass Center providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days each week. They prepare and serve more than 17,000 meals per month with a small staff and volunteers.
Our tasks as volunteers include but are not limited to hot meal prep, sack lunch prep & assembly, serving and clean-up. At times they also need help organizing their walk-in freezer and storage areas and taking inventory.
* This event is limited to 8 volunteers. If you wish to attend, you must sign up for the event to reserve your spot. Please sign up only if you will be attending, and update your attendance ASAP if you cannot make it.*
Those who are signed up for this event will receive a confirmation email which includes volunteer guidelines and directions to the site a few days prior to the event.
