Description:

Please join us as BEAN volunteers at the 36th annual Hutch Holiday Gala - for a night that is sure to be remembered. Last year comedian Kevin Nealon of “Saturday Night Live” fame served as celebrity emcee of the event that offered an impressive array of silent and live auction items also drew lively bidding. Items such as a 2011 Acadia Denali SUV raised $50,000; a culinary tour of Spain last year brought in $20,000 and BEAN members were front and center in helping make it all possible.

The single largest fundraiser benefiting Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the Gala is a black tie event featuring extravagant live, silent and cellar auctions, an elegant dinner and late-night dancing with more than 850 business and community leaders in attendance. The Gala has raised more than $75 million over the past 35 years to support vital research at the Hutchinson Center.

BEAN volunteers are being recruited as "rovers", what is a "rover" you may ask? Ideally a jack of all trades as the event will require spotters, runners and help at check in.

As this is a black tie event please plan on dressing accordingly. Given the stature of this event in the community you will be glad you dusted off the ol' tux as the gala directly benefits immunotherapy research that scientists hope may open the door to the final stage in the war on cancer.
