It’s officially September, so you know what that means … it’s time for Oktoberfest!

This annual Fremont event features a gaggle of fine German brews, and was voted by USA Today and Orbitz.com as one of the top places to toast Oktoberfest. But this three-day event isn’t just about indulgences – it’s for a good cause! Fremont Oktoberfest is a benefit for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, funding local schools, art groups, community events and promoting Fremont as the “Center of the Universe."

BEAN has reserved spots for 20 volunteering on Sunday, Sept. 26, from 10:30am to 2:30pm. We’ll be helping out with the beer pouring, so get ready for some labor-intensive work! (Must be 21+ to volunteer for this event). For an event that draws tens of thousands of visitors, this job is no small feat. And to thank you for your time, all volunteers will receive free admission to the event, a souvenir tasting mug, six tokens to sample brews and a commemorative T-shirt! It’s a package definitely worth four hours of your time.
